Badung, 26 August 2024 – The Indonesian National Police staged the Puri Agung II 2024 pre-operation drill at the Badung Regency Government Center in Bali on Monday (26 August 2024). This drill serves as a preparation for the security arrangement for the coming High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF), both of which will take place in Nusa Dua, Bali, on 1—3 September 2024.

The drill, which took place in Badung's Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Center, was led by Bali Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police Daniel Adityajaya, who also served as Deputy Chief of Operations for this security operation.

According to Daniel, the National Police held a technical guidance activity for a pre-operational drill with the theme "Improving the Capabilities of National Police Personnel in Securing the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) of 2024 to achieve a safe and conducive situation" as an initial step before carrying out the security operation.

"This drill is designed to guarantee that all personnel involved in the operation, including officials and ground personnel, are capable of comprehending the entirety of the operational plan and security strategy to be implemented," he stated.

The National Police will conduct a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) on 28 August 2024, following the pre-operational exercise, to consolidate personnel's comprehension of the operational plan in both theory and practice.

The Bali Police Chief also stated that Puri Agung II Pre-ops 2024 was a collaborative effort between the work divisions of the National Police Headquarters, the Bali Police, the West Nusa Tenggara Police, and the East Java Police.

Daniel hopes that all personnel will preserve synergy and solidarity among themselves with other task forces, the Indonesian National Army, the Presidential Security Detail,  and other institutions.

With everyone's enthusiasm and collaboration, I am confident that this International meeting will go successfully, safely, and smoothly," the Bali Police Chief remarked.

Operation Puri Agung II-2024 will last five days, from 31 August through 4 September 2024.

A total of 4,523 personnel from the National Police will be assigned to ensure the security of the two international events. The National Police Headquarters dispatched a total of 1,459 personnel, while the Bali Police deployed 2,464 personnel. The East Java Police and the West Nusa Tenggara Police each deployed 300 personnel.

The HLM MSP and the 2nd AIF will prioritize several collaborations, including those related to economic transformation, energy, mining, food security, health, and development.

IAF 2024 expects the attendance of 28 heads of state and 800 participants representing governments, international and regional organizations, and entrepreneurs from Indonesia and Africa. (Rolandus Nampu, Guido Merung/TR/Elvira Inda Sari/SC)/PR.
