Jakarta, August 30, 2024 – A total of 716 units of Electric vehicles are prepared as official vehicles at the 2024 High Level Forum on Multi-stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) in Nusa Dua, Bali, on 1-3 September 2024.

State-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero) ensures the readiness of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) infrastructure in four points located around the Kempinski Hotel and the ITDC Nusa Dua area, Badung Regency, Bali.

PT PLN’s (Persero) Bali Central Distribution Unit I General Manager Gede Agung Sindu Putra said that PLN would provide SPKLUs to support the mobility of 479 electric cars of various types and 237 electric motorbikes. PLN will provide charging stations, including 12 Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) type units, 20 SPLU Gen 2 units, each with six sockets, and 20 SPKLU units of the standard charging type.

"The SPKLUs at the ITDC 1 and the Kempinski Hotel area are our existing SPKLUs. The PLN team has ensured that the SPKLUs are operating normally," said Sindu.

Meanwhile, the construction of the SKLUs at the other two locations, namely ITDC 2 and around Tragia, Nusa Dua, has reached 100 percent progress of the work and is currently operational.

"The location in Tragia Nusa Dua will be set as a charging center for  Korlantas’ (Traffic Corps) electric motorbikes ," he said.

Sindu said that to anticipate unpredictable needs, PLN also deploys SPKLU Mobile which can be used at any time if needed.

He explained that in addition to the SPKLU, PLN developed the supporting infrastructure in the form of an application which is integrated with each SPKLU. This application can facilitate operating officers and drivers in recharging the  electric vehicles.

He was also confident about the performance of PLN personnel who will serve at this international event. A total of 57 personnel will be deployed as officers operating SPKLU at the 2nd HLF MSP & IAF 2024.

"PLN has a lot of experience overseeing the success of international events, including ensuring the use of electric vehicles, both for delegates, operations, and security, and has been proven reliable," he said.

However, according to him, the success of this activity also requires the community's contribution. Residents may help by refraining from flying kites on 1—3  September 2024, to avoid the risk of disrupting the 150 KV transmission network and the 20 KV distribution network of PLN.

"Let's ensure the success of this event by raising our awareness and refraining from flying kites during the HLFMSP & IAF period. This is for our mutual benefit and safety," he said. (Rolandus Nampu, Ahmad Buchori /TR/Elvira Inda Sari/EL/PR).
