Jakarta, 29 August 2024 - As a concrete step to strengthen Indonesia-Africa cooperation at various levels and sectors, Indonesia has prepared several side events during the series of events of the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) in Bali on 1--3 September 2024.

"This forum will also be utilized to exchange experiences and best practices, particularly in natural resource management, bilateral and regional economic cooperation, and strengthen the capacity of human capital," she said on Thursday (29 August 2024) in Jakarta.

With the theme "Bandung Spirit for Africa's Agenda 2063", the 2nd IAF invites 54 African countries to collectively discuss potential mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors. The organization of the 2nd IAF will be held concurrently with the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLFMSP).

The IAF 2024 is a continuation of the success of the first IAF held in 2018. This forum aims to implement the modalities of the Bandung Spirit initiated by the founding fathers, with a focus on economic benefits and welfare for the people in Indonesia and Africa through mutually beneficial development cooperation.

The 2nd IAF in Bali will strengthen collaboration in four priority sectors: food security, energy security, health security, and mineral security. "We invite everyone to participate in IAF II and work together to build a better future for Indonesia and Africa," Meidiwaty concluded. (Infomed Kemlu/TR/Elvira Inda Sari/SW/PR).
