Minister Budi Arie Invites Journalists to Ensure the Success of HLF-MSP and IAF 2024

Indonesian Communications and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi delivers a press statement at the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF-MSP) and Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) Media Center at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Badung, Sunday, 1 September 2024. He praises journalists who cover the HLF-MSP and the 2nd IAF.

Badung, 1 September 2024 – Indonesian Communications and Informatics Minister (MCI) Budi Arie Setiadi expressed his appreciation to journalists who covered the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF-MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF).

"These major international events are expected to bring a positive impact on the world’s peace and welfare, as well as strengthen Indonesia's position in global diplomacy,” he said in a press conference at the HLF-MSP and 2nd IAF Media Center at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Badung on Sunday, 1 September.

A total of 486 journalists from 125 home and abroad media have been registered to cover the events.

"The presence of journalists from various parts of the world shows how much global attention received by the fora held in Indonesia,” he said.

He revealed 125 media consisting of 83 national media, 26 foreign media, 7 official media, 7 ministry media, and 2 host media. 

"In terms of individuals, there are 393 Indonesian journalists, 41 foreign journalists, and 52 ministries and agencies public relations officers. In total, there are 486 journalists," he said.

The Minister highlighted the commitment to provide the best facilities for journalists covering the events.

According to him, the media center serves not only as a place for work but as a form of commitment to making the event a success.

"We want to ensure journalists can carry out their duties optimally so that the information about the HLF MSP and the 2nd IAF can be widely spread across the globe," he said.

The Media Center's excellent services include a press conference room with advanced equipment, a working area with fast internet access, a comfortable interview room, medical services to ensure journalists' health, hospitality service, and media assistance.

It also provides joint editors who produce quality photos, releases, and infographics; audio-video services in various formats and live broadcasts; and translation and interpreting. All materials and information can be accessed at https://media.msp-iaf.id/.

"This is part of our effort to ensure that the information disseminated during this forum is accessible, accurate, and verified," he said.

Minister Budi Arie hopes the Media Center can be an effective means to support the journalists' work. He also asks the media to make this international event a success.
